    Boaters:  If your marine radio is equipped with Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), be sure to obtain, register and enter your assigned 9-digit Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) into the radio.  If the MMSI is not programmed correctly, some features may not work properly, and a rescue could be delayed.  Additional information can be found at the U.S. Coast Guard's Navigation Center and  Rescue 21 websites.
